32 - The Influencer VS Entrepreneur Dilemma: How to Show Up on Social Media as a Personal Brand

32 - The Influencer VS Entrepreneur Dilemma: How to Show Up on Social Media as a Personal Brand

I give you the scoop on the role of an entrepreneur, an influencer, and a hybrid model on social media.

“There are no rules, only guidelines. Only gifts and distortions.”

– Rachel Bell

In this episode, I clarify the role of an entrepreneur and an influencer on social media. You’ll learn how to take advantage of the gifts available to both when creating your own personal brand while recognizing and leaving behind the aspects that don’t serve you. Listen in as I share a way to create a personal brand that leverages both roles so you can create something brand new – a hybrid model – that’s just as unique as you are.

Here’s a glance at what you’ll learn from me in this episode:

  • The distinct differences between an influencer and entrepreneur on social media.

  • Why knowing the difference will provide clarity (and sanity).

  • How to recognize resistance when going all-in on one role.

  • How to be a HYBRID personal brand (and why it’s NOT a binary choice).

  • Common entrepreneur and influencer gifts and distortions.

  • How to snag the GIFTS while leaving the distortions behind.

  • Why you ARE NOT the templates you step into.

  • 25:00 – You’re a soul that steps into different templates. You are the soul, not the templates you step into.

  • 27:05 – Play the roles you want, but it’s all just a template, an identity, that you can step into, out of, and change at will.

  • 28:25 – Whatever you choose will have gifts and distortions. Recognize the distortions.

“You can be an influencer in different industries but that’s not the same thing as having a niche.”
